West SFV Lifestyle is a blog focused on the West San Fernando Valley and the great people, places, and things found in our “way out west“ part of the valley. I created this blog out of my love for this community. My husband and I moved to this part of the valley last year. Previous to moving here, I lived in Los Angeles proper since 1996. Born and raised in Ventura County, the West SFV area felt like very similar to what I was familiar with.
Soon after moving in, I became interested in meeting my neighbors, learning about the history of the the West SFV, my neighborhood, and joining some community groups. Living in the city it’s easy to be a number and disconnected from the community. Here in the West SFV, people are proud to live here and want to be a community.
What is the West SFV? I will be writing primarily about West Hills, Woodland Hills, and Canoga Park.
