You may have more time with your kids than you planned on for spring break. Coronavirus/Covid-19 has made most of us work from home and schools have been closed so we are home with the kids. It’s not an easy time for us all. Television and apps will only go so far. You may need to supplement the above with other activities to keep everyone occupied. Here is my list of handy ideas to keep the fun going in your home during these trying times.
1.
I read a post on Travel + Leisure about visiting museums virtually. What a great idea! Can be inspiring if and if you view before your kids, maybe you can create a “virtual scavenger hunt” by making a list of things they could find while touring these virtual museums.
2.
Watch a family movie together. I’m sure you have family classics or hit up Netflix! Disney is always a good option during trying times!
3.
Play a strategy game of Settlers of Catan, one of my favorites! “The popular game of trading, strategy, tactical skill and luck”.
4.
Build some puzzles together. Shop Amazon or maybe the ones you have already that you haven’t done yet.
5.
Play Cornhole indoors and outdoors or in the garage. Go for the patriotic and bring out for July 4th or the cost effective packable one below.
6.
Start a family tree. Join Ancestry.com and get is started in no time!
7.
Do some coloring together. Coloring passes the time, is meditative, and a fun way to bond with each other. Don’t have supplies? Order on Amazon Prime!
My favorite gel pens that make your coloring pop!
9.
Binge watch some fun YouTube videos from these channels and learn something:
10.
Play Words With Friends! Keeps your brain sharp and you being social!
